The designs for Flora were developed in consultation with patients and staff as a celebration of rich natural heritage local to Sheffield. The surrounding woodland habitats were once the tree plantations cultivated to fuel the historic iron industries. Reminiscence sessions with geriatric patients revealed much loved locations regularly visited on days out of the city – local woods, farms and the Peak National Park.

In this commission I worked with Sheppard Robson architects to develop designs that would complement the overall Hadfield Wing development.

NHS Trust / ACE funded.
